Top 5 iOS Navigation and Maps Apps in Romania: Q1 2022 Performance

In the first quarter of 2022, the top 5 iOS navigation and maps applications in Romania showed varied performance trends in terms of weekly downloads, active users, and revenue. Here’s a closer look at how each app fared during this period, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps saw a moderate fluctuation in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 13.8K in the week of March 21 and bottoming out at 8.5K in the week of February 21. Weekly active users for the app remained relatively stable, ranging from around 563K to 634K.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a decrease in weekly downloads from 9.1K at the start of the quarter to about 6.1K by the end. Active users fluctuated, starting at 678K and dropping to around 513K in late January, before rebounding to approximately 588K by late March.

Google Earth had its weekly downloads peak at 2.5K in late February, with a low of just over 1K in early January. Active users showed a slight increase from around 7.7K to 8.5K over the quarter.
